| Mostly packed (first run through) and ready to go to LA |
Less than two days and we'll be on our way to L.A.!
Of course I'm nervous that I'm not packing enough clothes. Always I take too many
Early Monday morning my longtime friend Lar will stop here at Casa Tipton-Kelly to transport me (my very own personal Uber Driver) to Philly International for my afternoon flight out of Philly to LA. I'll meet Pat in Philly, he's taking an earlier flight in from Toronto.
The excitement is building folks!
We'll arrived LA after a five hour flight from Philly. We're checking into the Hollywood Bed and Breakfast, right in the heart of West Hollywood for the first half of our ten day stay. The second half Pat has reserved an Air B & B accommodation in an ultra modern house in the Hollywood Hills, literally IN the Hollywood Hills. I will take photos of those accommodations, you can be ultra sure of.
Tuesday, our first day in LA we have to get up early to get in line for our appearance in the audience of "The Price is Right!" I just hope I can complete my bathroom needs by the time I get in that audience line, which, by the way we do have priority tickets so we're guaranteed to get in. The last time I had priority tickets was to be in the audience of "American Bandstand" and that was in 1958. I don't do this kind of thing too often.
The Powerball drawing is tonight. Estimated jackpot is 900 million. 900 MILLION! After taxes and early payout I might just clear 50 million. Just think of what I could do with all that money. I'm already dreaming of it. Of course my chances of winning are one in 292 million. I have more chance of being elected president of the United States or becoming a movie star (one in 20 million) than I do of winning this Powerball jackpot but you know what they say, "You have to play to win" and you know folks, that has always been my lifetime mantra. . . . . . in ALL aspects of life.
