What's On My Mind
A lot! One of the main things is the direction this country is going with the Trump corruption and the cowardice of the Republicans in Congress who are too cowardly to exercise their power to hold Trump in check. I get the feeling this country is going to hell in a hand basket ....... fast!
Where I'm Going
A haircut tomorrow at 10:45 AM. My haircuts costs $25 now plus I give a $5 tip. When I was a youngster I used to get haircuts every two weeks at fifty cents a pop. Now I get a haircut about every six weeks. Even though my haircuts are expensive I have just about the best barber I could ever have. Her name is Hyatt and she is from Morocco and has been cutting my hair for about five years now. She does wonders with what little hair I have left. Actually I have a lot of hair left on the sides and back. The top I have a "peninsula". She does wonders with it though. I never had to do a flip haircut, thank God. Pat urged me in the past to get it all shaved off but I demurred. I don't look good with a shaved head. He shaved his head for years, he didn't look good either which I often told him but he ignored me. Then last year he let his formerly ginger hair grow out and he received many compliments from people he hadn't seen for a while like his former neighbors at the Royal Connaught Hotel, then he decided to let his hair grow out. He looks fabulous now. He looks younger too!
What I'm Reading
I'm still reading "Who Knew" by Barry Diller. It takes me at least two to three weeks to read a book. I don't skim through books and I only read in bed. That's twice a day, once before my nap and before I go to bed at night.
What I'm Eating
Boneless pork chop slow cooked in my mini Crock Pot. I like to cook but in the summertime I don't have time for a lot of prep. Last week I discovered if I put one boneless pork chop or two chicken tenders in the my Crock Pot and pour about a half a cup of Stubbs Citrus and Onion marinade. I've tried this before with barbecue sauces but never like the outcome. Then I realized most barbecue sauces have liquid smoke in them and I hate liquid smoke. I like the smoky taste of real barbecue but not the fake stuff like liquid smoke. Makes me gag just like any other artificial ingredients.
Who Needs A Good Slap
Trump of course. He just took the gold cup award that the Chelsea soccer team won recently. We all know how much Trump loves gold. What a douche!

Senator Jon Ossoff of Georgia for speaking in plain English and not "Politician Speak" when he address the current Jeffrey Epstein controversy about Trump not releasing "The List" thus angering his MAGA base. This is what Senator Ossoff said. We need more of this direct, plain to understand speak from our politicians instead of the political advisors' poll tested speak.
What I'm Planning
Cleaning out my garage. I've been planning this since Bill died a year and a half ago but have found one excuse after another not to do it. This time my excuse is that "it's too hot and humid."Maybe fall.
What's Making Me Smile
The flowers I planted around my transformer. Our local internet service provider contracted a company to remove all obstacles around their transformer last month. Previously that ugly transformer was hidden behind a beautiful white PVC picket fence.
The company and crew to Comcast contracted ripped out that beautiful white picket fence and what was left was an insult to the eyes of everyone passing by Casa Tipton-Kelly. I have attempted to soften that assault on their vision. It is my intent that anyone who walks or rides by the front of Casa Tipton-Kelly is duly impressed and smiling.
