Me and Pat at the Veggie Grill in West Hollywood (Sunset Boulevard) - our favorite place to eat while we were in La La Land |
Hey folks, I'm still recovering. I didn't realize how much this trip to California took out of me. Yesterday I slept most of the day. After breakfast this morning I hit the sack again. And now, 3:10 PM in the afternoon I feel like another short nap. Wow. I better rest up because I go to work tomorrow at the hotel and I have to be my brightest and cheeriest.
Today I am copying my 358 photos and videos that I took of my California trip to a flash drive. Over 17 gigabytes! Wowsie! And you can bet I'm going to share a lot of those photos and videos on future blog postings here.
Reviewing those those photos and videos are already bringing back fond memories. Pat and I did a lot. Oh yes, he was worn out too but right now he's hard at work as an extra on a Toronto movie set.
I'm taking Bill out for an early dinner in a couple of hours at our local greasy spoon. Oh how I was ruined by the likes of the Veggie Grill in West Hollywood. Milton is no West Hollywood, that's for sure. Back to reality Ron.
But it is good to be home again. I'm appreciating the quiet. No roaring traffic like there was at the bed and breakfast where we were staying in West Hollywood. That's all right for a short duration but I don't know if I could take it 24/7 for the rest of my life. But I did like the sunny weather, and easy accessibility of vegetarians eateries and all the fine shopping. I'm trying not to complain here (but I am) but what do we have in Rehoboth? Outlet malls, T-shirt shops and endless fund raising events. God, the fund raising events. Do they ever end?
I still haven't checked in on my two friends who are in dire health situations. To tell you the truth I don't know what to say. "How are you doing?" just doesn't seem to cut it. Plus, my one friend is very bitter about his situation and there is absolutely nothing I can do to help him. I always knew I would be a lousy nurse. So there it is.
Now to end this blog posting on a high note. Yep, I'm planning my next adventure for this May. That's the secret folks, always have something to look forward to.
